The Leave of Absence module solves the electronic approval of all types of absences of employees, provides them with an overview of their actual vacation balance and automates related actions such as enabling Out of Office rule in MS Exchange. It also enters the absence in personal calendar in MS Outlook or automatically enables the substitution defined in a template.
Supervisors get an overview of absences of individual subordinates and when approving someone's absence they know about absences of other colleagues or staff with similar responsibilities.
HR people get information about people who still have too much time-off left and an export of absences for payroll system is also included, so there is no need for manual transfer between the systems.
